ADIB Expands UAE Network of Digitally-Enhanced ADIB Express Branches

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, has expanded its UAE network of ADIB Express branches, following a strong reception from customers, opening two new premises in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Located at the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi and Burjuman Dubai Metro station, the outlets are part of a new generation of digitally-enabled branch that combines the benefits of digital banking with a personalised service. The first ADIB Express branch was launched in Dubai’s The Ranches Souk – Arabian Ranches earlier this year.

Commenting on the expanding network of ADIB Express branches, Philip King, Global Head of Retail Banking at ADIB, said: “We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers who have visited an ADIB Express branch due to the instant delivery of banking products and the bespoke service they received. Integrating cutting-edge digital infrastructure into our branches can enhance the customer experience as it both automates and expedites many banking processes. We plan to continue to grow the number of ADIB Express branches across the UAE in 2018.”

He added, “The way our customers live and bank is changing, and it is important that we continue to create digital solutions that utilise best in-class technologies to simplify their lives and make banking with us as seamless and secure as possible.”

ADIB Express branches provide customers with access to a wide range of self-service digital functions while benefiting from the digitally enabled personalised service on-site or even via video chat. This seamless integrated approach enables relationship managers to dedicate more time to personal banking services with the bank’s digital technology automating administrative processes.

The branches are also designed with the latest digital technology such as interactive screens, Emirates ID scanners and media walls to provide customers with a truly immersive experience within a comfortable and welcoming environment. The process for new customers setting up an account, issuing debit card and checkbook is now significantly quicker and can be done during 30 minutes and paper free.. Other services include personal finance and card services. Customers also have the option of booking an appointment or even starting the process online.

Research by ADIB shows a growing demand among UAE consumers for access to an efficient digital banking offering, although the ability to experience a high-level of personalised service in a branch remains a key priority for many customers.
